The Pakistan IPv6 Task Force (Pkv6TF) is dedicated to the advancement and propagation of IPv6 (Internet Protocol, version 6) in the Pakistan. Comprised of individual members, rather than corporate sponsors, the Pkv6TF mission is to provide technical leadership and innovative thought for the successful integration of IPv6 into all facets of networking and telecommunications infrastructure, present and future.

Through its continued facilitation of technical and business case whitepapers, IPv6-centric conferences & seminars, IPv6 testbed and IPv6 deployment readiness guides, the Pkv6TF will strive to be the guiding force for IPv6 adoption and readiness in the Pakistan region.

Project 6Core

6Core stands for "National IPv6 Core of Pakistan" which is the First IPv6 based project initiated by ISPs of Pakistan under the common platform. The 6Core is a test-bed network which was formulized in 2006 by  Pakistan IPv6 Task Force along with CYBERNET, SUPERNET, DANCOM  to take one step further towards penetration of IPv6 in the economy.

Another goal of the 6Core was to test the IPv6 implementations and network services to provide benchmarks for Telecom & IT sector of Pakistan.

Finally we will provide Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) to the enterprises and other organizations to easily and seamlessly migrate their existing IPv4 network to new required IPv6 network.

Project 6Core provide the IPv6 testbed for Pakistan's Telecom operators, ISPs, IXPs, Corporate sector & educational institutes to develop new IP enabled services & test them.
