Pakistan IPv6 Task Force members are participating in number of initiatives that advances IPv6 awareness & integration in Pakistan. Following are the ongoing, completed and planned initiatives,

IPv6 Research in Acadmia

Objective:To assist acadmia to develop research centers for testing & developing IPv6 based applications & services.

Description: Pkv6TF members are closely working with acadmic institutions of Pakistan, guiding them to develop the research centers for the development & testing of new Internet applications. This involve assisting engineering students for the Final Year Project related to IP technologies.

IPv6 Awareness sessions

Objective:To make Pakistan's communication society IPv6 ready.

Description: The IPv6 Awareness for Pakistan's educational, Telecom & IT sector aim to educate all on the importance of migrating and deploying IPv6. This is a necessary step to ensure that Pakistan’s communication society will be IPv6 ready by year end 2010-11. This program will bring all communication sectors together and work towards a smooth and trouble free migration to IPv6. Pkv6TF members are also conducting awareness sessions at acadmias & different knowledge sharing platforms.
